Join us in the ICC’s Trinity Pub for a weekly seisiún. This traditional open Irish session features talented musicians led by Ellen Redman and guest hosts each week. On March 11 we welcome special guest host Julian Lambertson on fiddle. Julian Lambertson is a consummate fiddler of over 30 years, having performed and taught students and workshops all over the US and Western Europe. In that time he has played and recorded with numerous artists, including Celtic Rock legends Seven Nations and Rathkeltair, Lift Irish Band, Irish trad band Kelly, country musician Austin Lucas, Irish band Glen Road, and as a duo with Zac Léger. He was also a founding member of the Irish trad band Oisre. Currently he works as a freelance musician and music teacher, and frequently joins forces with local Irish trad band, New Leaf. Julian’s fiddling style is firmly grounded in the traditional music of Ireland, with the foundation of his skill built off of a disciplined classical background. It also incorporates elements of Scottish, Blues, Rock n’ Roll, Old Time, Middle Eastern, Greek, Country, Cape Breton, English, and Breton music, all of which have influenced his playing and original tunes written over the years. He currently lives in Ware, Massachusetts with his wife and feline fur children.
Our open session happens every Wednesday from 6:30–9:00 pm. New musicians are always welcome. It is an enjoyable, authentic Irish pub evening to spend with friends and family of all ages. If you would like a dinner reservation, please call the pub directly at 413-342-4358. You are welcome to join us just for drinks or the “craic” as well. This evening is open to the public.
