DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Halloween at the Irish Cultural Center! Stop by on Saturday, October 26 from 1–3:30 pm for a fun, free, family-friendly open house.\nCostumes are encouraged! We will have fun activities and treats all afternoon, with supervised Halloween craft projects and games. Hear stories, learn Irish words, and explore the origins of Samhain. Plus, there will be apple cider and Halloween treats.\nOur featured guest will be award winning Irish author Ellen Ryan, joining us from 1:30–3 pm. Ellen has a a passion for Irish myth, and will share spooky stories and quizzes about Samhain and Irish gods.\nThe Irish House Restaurant and Trinity Pub will be open to purchase food and drinks. We encourage you to make a reservation if you would like to join us for food – please call 413-342-4358.\nEllen Ryan is a journalist and contributor to the Irish Times and Irish Independent. She is an award winning and bestselling author of Gods Don’t Cry: Unsung Stories of Ireland’s Forgotten Immortals and Girls Who Slay Monsters: Daring Tales of Ireland’s Forgotten Goddesses. Ellen has a passion for Irish myth and loves to visit archaeological sites (though she always brings a raincoat).
